As Lucifer Morningstar might phrase it, thank Dad we finally have an announcement! LuciFans, rejoice; it’s official: Lucifer Season 5 has a release date for a two-part Season 5 on Netflix US, UK, and Brazil. The season 5 two-part release schedule:
- Lucifer Season 5 Part 1 release date 21 August, 2020
- Lucifer Season 5 Part 2 release date TBD (still filming remaining scenes, delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic)
According to the much fan-beloved show writer Chris Rafferty (@Chris_Rafferty), there will be 8 episodes in Part 1 that will be “…epic, super-sized episodes” that are worth the wait. The remaining 8 episodes will air when Part 2 is released; filming was delayed due to the pandemic. There will be 16 episodes for Season 5 of Lucifer in Parts 1 and 2 combined (math!).
